Today is Mother's Day.

It's weird that we label all these days really, isn't it?

They're just days like any other, after all, but I do appreciate the sentiment to celebrate the people and things that mean a lot to us - and let's not forget that there's also a World Chocolate Day, so that's something to look forward to 😉🍫 (7th July this year in case you were wondering...).

My own mum died when I was 24, which you could say is quite young - it certainly felt too young to me at the time - but then I know other people who never knew their mums at all, so I suppose it's all relative.

Whatever the situation with the mother figures in your life, or the situation if you are a mother figure to someone else (or would like to be), I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge that this day can trigger a range of emotions in us all, and that's ok.

If you're struggling today for any reason, message a friend, make some plans away from all the hype, have a duvet day, watch a great movie, go outside in nature, you might even decide to book a Reiki session for the coming week to relax, recharge and rebalance.
