Earth Day

Earth Day

Hello my friend!

It's Earth Day today, so here are a few ideas for activities that not only benefit our environment but also nourish your mind, body, and spirit.

🌱 Connect with Nature: Take a break from the hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in nature. Whether it's a walk in the park - or the woods to see the bluebells - a hike, or simply sitting under a tree, connecting with the Earth's energy can be grounding and rejuvenating. Keep these ideas in mind after you've had your next Reiki session!

🌸 Plant a Tree or Flower: Now, like most of us, there are things I am good at and things I would like to be good at. Gardening falls into the second category for me. I'm not terrible at it but - luckily for my children - I'm much more skilled at keeping humans alive than plants. All that is about to change, my friends!

(Don't worry, the kids are fine - what I mean is that I have taken up gardening!)

This week I have been slowly planting things in my front yard in an attempt to transform it from stony wasteland to pretty landscape. So far, so good! Why don't you join me by getting your hands dirty and contributing to the planet's greenery. Plant a tree in your back garden or add a vibrant flowering plant to your living space. It's a beautiful way to give back to the Earth.

♻️ Zero-Waste Challenge: Take on the challenge of reducing your waste for a day. Use reusable containers, say no to single-use plastics, and recycle consciously. Small changes can make a big impact. One of my favourite advocates in this space is Nancy Birtwhistle. A lovely friend and client told me about her, so I looked her up, bought her books and now I'm hooked! She has so many great ideas for super effective, low-cost, eco friendly cleaning products. Not only that, her recipes are amazing too. Check her out!

🧘 Earth-Focused Meditation: Set aside time for a meditation session focused on Earth appreciation. Visualize sending love and positive energy to the planet, fostering a sense of unity with nature.

🍃 Picnic in the Park: Weather permitting(!), celebrate Earth Day with a sustainable picnic. Pack your favorite local and organic treats, and enjoy a meal surrounded by the beauty of nature.

Thanks for being part of this community. Let's make Earth Day 2024 amazing!

Green hugs and much love,

Amy 💜🤟
